Final Idea For Our Trailer.

Jordan is a girl who is studying at university, now going into her last year of her course. She has become stressed over the pressure of meeting deadlines and the little time she to complete the work. Jordan lives with a couple who are all loved up and this makes lives for Jordan at home much harder than it already is.
The night before an important exam, Jordan is trying to fit in as much revision as possible before the next day. However, she is rudely interupted by the sound of the couple making love to one another. Later on that night she goes down into the kitchen to find the couple cooking dinner and leaves them to it and storms upstairs to get an early night before her exam. Before she went upstairs she went for a walk to clear her head before going to bed. She begins to get paranoid that someone is following her and because it is raining she see's a dark shadow in one of the puddles.
The following morning, she walks downstairs and finds that her housemates have been brutally murdered. She is convinced that who ever has killed her friends was following her last night whilst she was on that walk.

Inital ideas for our horror movies.

Ideas for our Horror Movies -
Maisies - A 21 student who is at university called Jordan. She becomes paranoid, thinking that someone is following her when she leaves a lecture that day and when she gets home that night she is feeling the stress of the work load. The following morning Jordan finds her housemates dead in the kitchen. She dreams about people being brutally murdered and then when she wakes up one morning she realises that she has murdered her good friend Tom.
Livis - A new girl is introduced at college and immediately becomes attached to one of her classmates, who rejects her when she asks to go out together. She starts to become obsessed and follows him, manipulating things which happen to him and murdering girls who talk to him.
My idea - There are some scientists who are studying a lady in a mental hospital. But what they do not know is that the demon inside this lady can spread without you realising until you are alone with the lady. It spreads just like any normal virus would in the real world. Slowly the demon gets inside further into the hospital, spreading within both the staff and the patients. Her name is Jennifer and she is kept in solitary confinement to try and keep her from any contact with the outside world, for her own safety and others around her.  She has been under scrutiny for a few years now and the condition which is unknown to mankind has never developed into anything more up until now, Jennifer takes a turn for the worst and starts to become more and more possessed. When her family come to see her, she asks to see her daughter alone. When she sees her alone she then possesses her and then the doctors do not know because the daughter is normal.

Third trailer analysis

S- The setting for this film is quite clear from very early on in the trailer is it set in the Arctic where there is nothing in the surrounding around, so as so as you see the establishing shot of the place that they have found this 'thing' you get this sense of loneliness and the fear of those that will be staying there, even though you do not know what they have found.

T- 

• Camera- there is a wide range of different shots used in this trailer. Shots such as establishing shot which allows us to know where the film is set and what the surroundings of the main scene are like. Close ups are also used to express the characters emotion on the situation in hand. Long shots are used in the action parts on the trailer and I think that this works well because you can see all of what is happening in that scene.  There are some shots which you could say they are extreme close ups and this is when something is done to make you jump in this film. This works well because you do not expect it half of the time. 
• Lighting - the lighting in this trailer is typical of a horror trailer because it isn't a very happy tone of lighting and this works well because it makes things seem much more dramatic then they would be if the lighting would be much more brighter and happier. By using the darker light, it seems to hide things that you'll would see more in the brighter light so therefore not making you jump as much which I think is key in a horror movie.
• Sound -  There is a lot of different types of sounds, such as asynchronous which would be the sound of the monster screaming and the digetic sound would be the people talking on the screen and cars etc. 
• Framing -  The majority of this trailer was shot through a landscape format which is the most commonly used shot in any genre of film because it is much easier to fit things into the frame and therefore keeping the viewer interested.

Iconography- this trailer does have quite a few things that you would expect to see in a horror trailer. Things such as the gore and the monster and the binary opposite that a very large majority of horror films contain. 
Characters - There are the typical 8 main characters that you can take a rough guess at just from viewing the trailer of the this film. The protagonist is the lady who is flown out to find out what people at the place in the arctic have found. But you do not know who the villain is apart from the monster because the monester hides in people and then controls them and their actions.
